ASICS: Mind Games
The client wanted robust science to answer the question, could a personalised exercise program improve cognitive function in high performance sedentary cognitive athletes. Scope of the project was to design, undertake and complete research end-to-end. The final results were published as the Amazon Prime documentary "Mind Games" in over 30 countries and accessed by over 100 million people.
FitXR: RCT
The client wanted to test if their VR workouts were more effective on the mind and body than matched non-immersive exercise. Scope of the project was to design, undertake and complete research end-to-end. The final outcome was that FitXR was able to complete the first ROT of immersive VR exercise, showing that FitXR resulted in a harder workout, more enjoyment & greater mental health improvements than matched non-immersive exercise.
ASICS: Mind Uplifter
The client wanted to test if we can take research from EEG technology to develop a reliable app that can be the first to measure the mental health impact of movement in real time. Scope of the project was to design, undertake and complete research end-to-end. As a result the Mind Uplifter is the world's first brief app to measure mental health before and after an episode of exercise.
UCL: Wellcome Trust
The client wanted to find out what the evidence for excessive sitting and workplace wellbeing for young people is. Furthermore, we wanted to investigate what we can do to improve wellbeing through movement. Scope of the project was to review published literature and recommendations. The final outcome was a report which was presented at the World Economic Forum and recommended steps for employers adopted.
Sport England: Swimming
The client wanted to have reviews and recommendations from the published evidence on the wellbeing and public health benefits of swimming. Scope of the project was data evaluation of member participation. The final report for Swim England received substantial backing & helped secure added funding for Swim England.
ASICS EMEA: Movement for Mind
The client wanted to develop a holistic movement based wellbeing program to improve employee wellbeing and test this with a randomised trial. Scope of the project was to design, pilot test and complete the main project. review published literature and recommendations. The final result was Movement for Mind program - an effective program in improving employee wellbeing. The program has now been rolled out to many thousands employees for free to experience the benefits.
RED January
The client wanted to find out whether we can provide evidence for the benefits of movement for the hundreds of thousands of people taking part in Red January. Scope of the project was to design, pilot test and complete the main project. review published literature and recommendations. The final outcome provided strong evidence that participation in Red January increased habitual physical activity and wellbeing among participants.
